Roumiana is a Solicitor and Partner at Fahri LLP. She commenced her legal career in 2002 as a paralegal, was subsequently offered a training contract in 2006 and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She is also fluent in Bulgarian.
Prior to joining Fahri LLP in 2018, Roumiana was founding and managing Partner at Lewis Terrance Rose. She decided to join Fahri LLP in order to be able to provide better services to her existing client following.
Roumiana’s expertise is in all areas of residential and commercial conveyancing, including all stages of development projects, such as advising clients on options to purchase, subsequent acquisition, arranging funding of the purchase and development and ensuring the construction documentation is compliant with the Lender’s requirements. She also ensures from the onset that a full legal pack is compiled and ready so that once the site has been developed, the sales can proceed seamlessly and as quickly as possible.
Roumiana frequently acts for commercial clients on their property acquisitions, sales, lettings and lease renewals, whether within or outside of the statutory business tenure protection.
Roumiana works closely with several mortgage brokers to ensure that the finance of an acquisitions proceeds smoothly and often clients who have been referred by a broker choose Roumiana when in need of further legal advice.
Roumiana also acts for bridging loan companies as part of their property finance business and carries out due diligence on the security property. These transactions are often under severe time constraints, but Roumiana never compromises the standard and level of service.
Roumiana has also recently done pro bono employment law work involving a disability discrimination claim resulting from unfair dismissal, from the initial involvement with the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) all the way through to a successful outcome at the employment tribunal hearing.
Outside of work, Roumiana enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family and going to the gym.
